On April 3rd, the 22nd Nyingchi Peach Flower Tourism and Culture Festival kicked off, with a series of events held across Nyingchi. Reporters visited Duodang Villagein Bayi District, where under snow-capped mountains and amidst blooming peach groves, the spring time beauty of the plateau was in full display.
Nyingchi is known as the "Jiangnan of Tibet," but its peach blossoms offer a stark contrast to those in the south of the Yangtze River. These blossoms bloom brilliantly at the foot of 3,000-meter-high mountains, exuding a natural and wild beauty. By around 10:00 AM, peach orchards in Duodang Village were bustling with visitors. Many tourists dressed in Tibetan costumes or Hanfu, capturing photos amidst the sea of flowers. "This is China's best peach blossom destination. The peach blossoms beneath the snow-capped mountains are so beautiful and match Hanfu well!" said Ms. Zhang, a traveler from Hunan.

Ai Cheng, founder of iAsk Media, was also on-site filming short videos. "You can find peach blossoms in many places across China during March and April, but Nyingchi is truly unique," she said. "At 3,000 meters above sea level, peach gloves bloom beneath snow-capped mountains, which is wild, free, and romantic. With every breath you take here, you will discover a version of yourself you've never known."

More than just a floral celebration, the festival is also a cultural feast. Events such as the Gongbu archery competition, Cham dance, Tibetan cuisine tasting and artistic performances allow visitors to fully immerse themselves in the rich local culture.

At the opening ceremony that evening, over ten local intangible cultural heritage performances were staged, showcasing the unique charm of Tibetan culture. Among them, the Chaoshan street dance "Yingge Soul" electrified the audience. "Yingge dance is full of strength and power. Even though we need oxygen after dancing, everyone is thrilled," said Gong Shiheng, a member of the Pilot Dance Crew. The crew combined Yingge dance's elements into street dance to give Tibetan audiences a taste of Chaoshan cultural charm.
